Ein Hund aus der Nachbarschaft ist in meinen Garten geraten und hat meine Schlangenpflanze umgeworfen, wodurch eines der Blätter zerbrochen ist 🙁 Ich frage mich, ob jemand weiß, ob sie noch Wurzeln schlägt, wenn ich sie schneide und ins Wasser lege.

  1. Yes. It would have no issue. The leaf and roots are there. Regardless of the split. Heck, don’t quote me. But I’d be surprised if it didn’t still propagate even if you totally separated those two split pieces in to 2. It would just crust over like in nature I’d assume. But aydin. Don’t take my word for it. I’m no expert.

    You can prop this – it will work just fine. Skip the water propagating step. Transitioning a water prop to soil is a major pain and can often be skipped. Snake plant leaves can be chopped into multiple pieces for propagation. You are going to want to leave them out for a few days to allow the flesh to callus over. This will prevent the cutting from rotting. Example below
