I love my iris’! I have several different ones. Don’t cut back the leaves until they die back on their own, and they will bloom every year. That pink is gorgeous! I ordered an iris catalog from the internet, can’t remember the name of it. But there are iris in every color and variety that you can think of some of the newer varieties were hundreds of dollars/bulb.
When they die back- dig them up and split the bulbs. This is done about every four years. It helps them bloom better and of course- more irises!
Beverly Sills is a pink iris.
My next door neighbor gave me some of his mother’s hybrid iris bulbs–they bloom sort of coral-pink. They are gorgeous. I have divided them only a little, as I don’t want to go through the 1st year of them not blooming! But I think the original area where I planted them, they are not deep enough, as they are top heavy & the blooms always fall over. Should I bite the bullet & move them?
