Dies ist mein erster Frühling/Sommer in diesem Haus. Es gibt zwei etablierte Wisteria -Reben… eine an der Seite des Hauses (ich weiß, ich habe es nicht gepflanzt) und eines auf einem Außenzaun.
Derjenige auf der Seite des Hauses hat nicht viel Laub wie das auf dem Zaun. Ich weiß absolut nichts darüber, wie man sich um Wisterien kümmert. Muss ich etwas tun, um das Haus zu einem „buschigen“ wie dem Zaun zu machen? Gibt es auch eine Möglichkeit, den Zaun weniger voluminös zu machen?
Ist meine Wisteria auch die einheimische Art oder die invasive Art? Ich bin in Maryland.

If it bloom after the leaves come out, it is American wisteria (Wisteria frutescens). If it blooms before the leaves emerge, it is Chinese wisteria (Wisteria sinensis).
Yours is the American Wisteria so no worries on that end. To make them more bushy you can cut back any new shoots to three or four nods
Don’t worry. They are extremely tough. You can literally not do anything wrong. Of course I would wait until they are done blooming so you can enjoy them. Just cut every new shoot back to 6 or 8 inches. And if you want to reduce your fence plant by half thatks also not a problem in the fall
Thirsty plants that require a huge amount of water and consistent water to make canopies of rich lush leaves and maintain them. Daily copious watering and weekly feeding all through the growing season. Autumn top dress.
