I spend 99.6% of my time keeping my freaking cat out of my beds and the other .4% gardening.

Nice bed. I had to put a little fence around mine to keep the dogs from digging it up. This is worse!

Sturdy new litter box. You’ve served your lord well.

Did you meant to plant that weird looking specimen with grey stripes? Bed looks great

What kind of soil are you using? Usually, cats are a summer harvest.

Your cat harvest is impressive.

I bought these to keep my Chihuahua from squeezing under our farm gate and roaming the neighborhood. She shuffles over to the gate now, gives it a sniff and walks away. It would probably work for you too. https://a.co/d/0BvtWyq

Please keep your cat indoors or fully under your control. They’re murder on native wildlife.

Get the plastic chicken wire and cut it to fit and lay it on top. I had to do the same thing.

I don’t have a cat but I’ve found my neighbor’s cat likes to use the raised beds as a kitty litter.

I have been getting realistic cat sculptures for my garden (they are really cute – there are a lot on Wayfair) that I move around every few days. Have not found a turd in a raised bed since.
Unfortunately, they do not deter ground squirrels or grey squirrels and the beds still get dug up in the spring.

Growing cattails I see haha. In all seriousness, unless this is going to be displayed for curbside appeal to the house, looks are secondary. The only suggestion I would give you would be to reinforce the corners.
It looks like the boards are going into the small 2×2. That will have constant exposure to moisture and will rot the fastest. When that goes, your sides will fall. I screw two boards together in an L shape and put them around the corners on the outside.

That’s an indoor plant ma’am. It thrives best on a harness or in a catio or indoors with good enrichment. Besides it’s own safety, the birds will also thank you.

Why don’t you plant some flowers, so he has something nice to look at while pooping, eh?
Plus-Scholar-1938 on
Idk if you were planning to have cats use your flower beds as a litter box but our neighbors stupid cats definitely did and it really had us mad…obviously we’re not the type to kill an animal so we ended up putting down a lot of cinnamon powder and haven’t seen them come around much since just be careful when watering because it will fly up in the air and get in your nose 🙏

Reminds me of the time I made really cute window boxes to plant wildflowers in my second floor apartment, and the first time I opened the window my cat immediately peed in the window box.
Cats really are just jerks.

My cats like to do this when I’m out working in the garden. They ONLY do it if I’m actively digging up dirt, no other time. It almost like they feel left out of the fun 😂

Lol. The neighborhood cat was using my new raised bed. I sprinkled it with coffee grounds and orange peel, and I haven’t seen evidence that she’s returned.
