If they still have shaft in the metal we used to chuck them on a fire then replace the handle with a new one

Have you got a green fingered equivalent of Trigger down your local?
If you’ve got a brick wall a couple of screws and they can just sit there, or drop them in a flower bed leaning against a fence to fill up empty space.
Any trailing, ground cover or clinging plant growing on it/through it will look lovely!

Get a life, you already know what to do. Go out and buy yourself a new fire which has the said handle attached, and start turning over your land…..
Dip them in evaporust for a few days then get some shaft, then get handles and reuse.
