Does the pot have drainage holes? If not you’ll need a liner to insert inside. Maybe some lavender and lemon balm for fragrance would be nice amongst your most used fresh herbs.
Or you could put several pots inside.
I tuck a plastic window box into my pots like this. Mints in particular enjoy this.
Since there’s no drainage, you can only grow plants in smaller pots that will fit in here, and you’ll need to remove them at watering time.

second option to pots inside— diamond drill bit on amazon for $15-25. i just got the Milwaukee one and couldn’t be happier. anything can be a pot now :))
