Wir möchten ein bisschen Privatsphäre zwischen unserem Vorgarten und der Auffahrt des Nachbarn. Unsere Bemühungen, ein paar Dinge in kleine Töpfe zu bringen, hat dort bisher nicht sehr gut funktioniert. Ich habe einen 1,8 m langen * 0,4 m breiten * 0,3 m tiefen Pflanzer im Auge, um ihn entlang des Zauns zu setzen und etwas darin zu pflanzen, wenn das funktionieren würde?
Ich habe gehört, dass Bambus dafür gut sein kann, aber seine Nachteile – hat jemand eine Empfehlung für eine bestimmte Art von Bambus oder alternative Vorschläge?

Native privet hedge over bamboo any day!
If you got some really large planters, you could definitely get some types of bamboo going in a timely fashion. I’ve only ever seen bamboo fully block out sightlines when it’s planted in multiple rows to cover any gaps. There are other plants that grow quickly, a classic hedge row is always my first choice, though I’ve never grown one in pots. If pots are the only option, I’d assume bamboo is a better choice. That said, while bamboo isn’t too fussy, it will eventually deplete nutrients from the soil quite quickly in containers. To keep it healthy, you’ll need to feed it with a balanced liquid fertiliser during the growing season and top up or replace the compost every year or so to keep the soil rich and supportive.
This is unfortunately the downside of pots, they are easier to maintain but they dry out quickly and lose their nutrients quickly.
I suggest planting something native instead of bamboo. You won’t be able to control the bamboo and it will slowly destroy everything you hold dear…

We have some bamboo hiding the bins. You should get some screening with a really big pot, but they need to be quite deep and it can get a bit straggly if not enough soil.
Never plant bamboo. It is invasive and spreads like wildfire, stick to native hedges that benefit the local wildlife.
No but planters along fence can as its a front garden fence can only go 1.20 cm high. But plants 11 ft high.
Why not some established cherry laurels? Much nicer to look at with their waxy foliage, and no concerns like those associated with bamboo.
