I just realized looking at the last photo that I put a couple of dolphins and possibly a couple bananas in the prop box. I know they won’t root without a node so I took them out.

I usually prop in sphagnum but I’m going to have to give perlite a chance.

Very rare SOH prop this way. I’ve had more success propping in water. Or take the “butterfly” 2 leaves and secure to a succ soil in a prop box or zip lock bag. They do not prop like normal succulents. Many vids on You Tube specifically for prop SOH. You are correct regarding the neglect of succulents 😄 my co-dependent self learned the hard way.
