oxalis, and you’ll end up with it everywhere if you keep playing with the seeds lol.

      Nooooooooooooooo

The exploding seeds will get that in every pot and cover your yard. It’s a menace.

The little pods are delicious on a salad. I hadn’t thought of growing them indoors on purpose.

    4. These are “weeds” in my area, my kids and I love playing with them.

    5. This grows in my bonsai and I LOVE it… yeah it can get out of hand but it’s super easy to yank out of a pot if needed.

But why do I like it so much for my bonsai? Two reasons: 1. It miniaturizes under such care, along with my tree 🙂 and 2. It keeps my pots cool in the summer sun.

So, I know why people might hate it but I LOVE it for my bonsai.

I would reccomend throwing it in a fire but it would probably just come back

    7. Omg this brought back so many childhood memories of popping impatiens seed pods. You can just poke them and they spring open.

Ugh, I hate this plant. It infests all of my planter boxes and garden boxes, and is impossible to get rid of. The explodong seed pods means when I go to clear it out, it just spreads more and more seeds everywhere

    9. We used to eat those “pickles” when we were little!! We called em clover pickles, LOL!

This grows on footpaths and in all random places and me and my friends would go hunting for these in the 90s , we loved it when those lil seeds springs out when they are slightly squeezed 🙂

in Quebec we have a similar plant that grow 2-3ft tall. it make small yellow flowers and beans that are 1inch~ long. when ripe you touch them and they explode like this.

      i dont know the name?

edit: Impatiens pallida i think. i have a huge patch of them in my backyard.

Edible and you can make tea out of it, but it’s high in oxalic acid so be wary if you have kidney issues

Eat the small leaves in salads. They taste like lemon

I used to eat this on the playground during recess

I have this in my indoor plants. Never thought I’d have an indoor weed, Lol! I don’t mind it though.

    15. Creating wood sorrel. A major weed and habitat for many pest insects indoors.

They are tasty too. Same flavor as starfruit or rhubarb (that is to say, oxalic acid- please be careful if you’re sensitive to it as too much could give you a kidney stone. You’d probably know already tho haha)

The seeds of this plant pops everywhere and will spread like wild fire, but then again is very lovely plant. I have this all over my back yard.
