Ive never seen oxalis grown indoors but this makes me want to try

I’d never seen them as decorative plants. They just grow wild and to me they’re kind of…just weed.

I’ve seen them grow both indoors and outdoors. They just naturally get very full which is nice!

Depends on where you live I don’t think they can handle freezing. I love oxalis. I’ve had the same one I. The same pot for about 12 years now I can’t believe there’s still soil in there but it’s happy so there it stays.

    5. Yes, those are awful and huge. Send them to me, I’ll take them off your hands. 😍

I’ve had two for about a year and they’ve only been indoors mine like a lot of sun maybe they would like to be on a sunny porch or something?? The purple one looks like butterflies flying on a field in spring or something, there really pretty!

Mine can’t handle outdoors in the summer, even under the deck where it’s the coolest. She’s banished to the living room for forever

    8. Oh the green one is so nice. I wonder why I’ve only seen the purple type before

My favorite plant! I usually have them indoors, but I’ve seen them outdoors as well.

Well technically no plant is an indoor plant. They love the sun for sure.

Quick question, does anyone know the actual cold hardiness of the purple triangularis? I’m getting all kinds of answers from google, but do you think it could survive winters in zone 5?

Okay, question. You’ve had them indoors this whole time? And they never died back? I really hope you answer this bc I love oxalis but Ive been hesitant to buy

lol you’d all laugh at my puny little purple oxalis that lives indoors. I wonder how it would do outdoors here, but I’m in the desert & have never seen them outside here so maybe not a good idea. Mine does seem very happy and flowers frequently at least. Definitely not big and bushy like OPs.

Iso info on the candy cane oxalis. Red & white. I’ve never seen anyone post them.

I live in a rural area and worked at a garden center for three years. We sold these as outdoor plants but when I visited my parents in a city I saw them sold as indoor plants.
