Hallo
Ich habe begonnen, meinen Apfelbaum zu beschneiden. Vor ein paar Jahren habe ich einen Mann dafür bezahlt, und der Baum wurde komplett abgeschlachtet – er hat seitdem nicht mehr geblüht, aber letztes Jahr hat er ein paar Äpfel hervorgebracht, aber nichts Großes. Es war stark zugewachsen und ich wusste es damals nicht viel besser. Ich habe beschlossen, ihn dieses Jahr zu beschneiden, und das nach ein paar Stunden Arbeit. Ich habe Angst, dass ich es zu weit treibe und den Baum umwälze, denn ich möchte, dass er blüht, weil er hübsch ist. Eine gute Apfelernte wäre auch nicht schlecht.
Was denken Sie aufgrund des Bildes? Sollte ich mehr vertikale Triebe entfernen? Oder ist das ok?

You’re right. That’s not had great pruning! Those vertical shoots are “water shoots” that are a stress response to pruning. As a rule you should take a maximum of a third of the growth/tree at a time. I would thin those shoots but not remove them all. Try to work towards a better, more open structure and focus on keeping horizontal shoots that contribute to this.
The RHS have a three year plan on dealing with excessive water shoots on their site.
