I have found my people. Love the moss. Don’t need to mow it, it’s soft to walk on, easy to clean the dog mess off. Superior to grass lawn in every way.

If moss is so prolific it means the conditions are not ideal for grass …the grass will probably just fizzle out if you do nothing and the moss will fully take over. It will require more moisture than grass doe.

Is there a reason you want to remove them? From picture, the area looks how I’d expect a mixed moss-grass lawn to look – likely shaded enough for moss but not actually shaded enough that grass cannot grow.

Grass is such a nuisance. You can try mowing it, but it keeps coming back.

The lawn needs moss growth to live.

Just yank it out when you come across a tuft and stick some moss on the bald spot.

Not but really, I wish I could eliminate the grass growing amongst my moss lawn. Moss is perfection.

After seeing all the “how do I remove moss from my grass” post, reading this titled made my brain glitch for a second 😂

That grass gets everywhere!! Such a nuisance. Best to remove the grass by hand for a perfect beautiful moss lawn!….You would need to remove all the factors causing that damn grass to flourish. Lawns are a never ending labour of love. This is the big end of a long journey. Enjoy!!

So I know this is a silly post, but I have a real answer!
Yellow rattle! It kills of grass specifically around it so it’s great for maintaining wildflowers.

A knife and a lot of hard work digging each piece out by hand. That’s how the moss gardens in Japan are maintained.
