Habe noch 2 Pflanzen zu erledigen. Geben Sie bereits etwas an die Nachbarn und überlegen Sie, den Rest für die Zukunft zu trocknen.

My hungry ass thought it was some table centerpiece with croissants 🤣
    Nice turmeric!

Oh yes, dry it, worth the time and effort. I slice them then dry them, although it is probably better to dry them whole. I just don’t have a real dehydrator and in my humid weather, I have to dry it fast or it goes bad.

Do you grow them in the ground or containers?

Amazing!!! How long did it take for you to get a harvest of this size from them?!!

I wonder if the turmeric and ginger would grow in south Florida

Nice job!! Do you mind sharing what zone you live in and your approach? Like where did you plant / any tips?

I will never understand how people misspell and mispronounce turmeric as “tumeric”. My wife did this for years till I noticed it lol.

In my experience that’s like $350 worth of turmeric at the farmers market.

…or it’s about $15 at the Chinese supermarket.

Either way, make some golden milk!

Wow. How do you grow tumeric? Where did you find the rizom, seed, bulb? What county are you in? That is an amazing bounty! If you really have too much you can offer some to your local restaurant. I gave a bunch of rosemary away.

Op. Why won’t you answer anyone??? You shared and we have questions.

  11. Look at pickling turmeric. It’s a common condiment in India that is eaten with a meal. You simply put peeled thinly sliced turmeric in a jar with lemon and salt iirc.

Scrolling past this I thought it was grub and my body had a physical reaction.

Awesome harvest. I’ve planted some late last year, so I’m excited to see if they produce a good crop.
