    no. You should keep it only very minimally damp though. I would prop in water tbh and pot in earth only when roots appear.

  2. Looks like the same pot mine came in from the nursery if that helps. Should be good. I just tonight re potted all my snake plants. I had 6 plants still in those little containers from like 4 years ago. All i ever gave them was tap water if they were lucky. Lol. I had them sitting in one of those aluminum bbq/roaster pans where they got decent indirect sunlight. The thing I found is the soil I had been using (big box cactus soil) was still holding too much moisture so I added extra perlight and stone grit to help loosen up the soil and hopefully help it drain better. I used a no nutrient soil and then add liquid cactus fertilizer when I bottom water in the sink. Sorry for all the extra info. Hope this helps. Im no expert, just had thes for about 5 years or so. I’ve definitely learned how resilient they are.
