Personally, I wouldnât repot just pop the longer strands back in the soil. Though Iâm not an expert on these
Iâve never owned string of turtles, but I have a gorgeous pot of string of hearts. My cat knocks it down quite often. So from experience, take the ones that still have stems, pull a couple leaves off so thereâs like an inch of JUST stem, and shove it back in the dirt. They should take root and grow on their own đ then youâll have more strings đ
Throw it in the pot. Strings prop pretty readily when they have a decent rooting medium and are kept somewhat moist- like water once a week or even mist a few times a week. It will be fine! Dont cry you now just have more plants.
aww donât cry friend!! take a deep breath, itâll definitely be OK!!
you lost a few leaves but itâs ok bc you have like 4 stems! you can just throw them back in the pot, or if you want, take the long one and stick it in a glass bottle in a windowsill (keeping the leaves out of the water) and youâll have roots growing in a week or two. itâs fun to watch too!!
Then once the roots are a couple inches long you can transplant them back in the pot. âString-ofâ plants do really well when you propagate them in water!! I hope this helps! đżâ¨
String of turtles can grow by leaves! I’d toss the loose leaves back in the pot too.
String of turtles is a peperomia (unlike other string of’s) and they do propagate by leaves! Just pop all your cuttings on the surface of the soil and keep it humid and they’ll root and sprout new baby plants!
Leaves don’t grow roots, but stem does. Just put as much as possible back into the soil, plenty should come out. Might just take half a year đ
Havenât grown this but I have grown string of hearts, string of pearls, and an absurd amount of other succulents. Just shove the ends of the broken pieces into the dirt and/or drop some dirt over the middle sections. Theyâll grow. Succulents are very forgiving as long as you donât drown them!
I also have a cat that likes to help me propagate any succulent I try to grow indoors lol
The beauty in the fall is that youâre about to learn about propagation, and you will have a few more plants. Nature will always do what it can to keep going. You got this! đ¤đ˝â¨đąđŞ´
